Interim Principal Kory Esbaum will be appointed the Herbert Hoover Elementary Principal beginning July 2023, pending March 9th Board approval. Congratulations to Mrs. Esbaum!

“We are excited to share the news about Kory becoming the official administrator at Herbert Hoover Elementary,” said Michelle Morse, Superintendent. “She has been doing an outstanding job of leading the school and guiding students and staff. She has a great passion for education as well as supporting all students, mentoring staff, and collaborating with parents. We look forward to her continued leadership and vision.”

Esbaum has been working in the Bettendorf Community School District since 2013. This school year she has been serving as the interim principal at Herbert Hoover Elementary with rave reviews from parents, staff, and students. Prior, she taught at Neil Armstrong Elementary. She has special education teaching experience and also taught in the Durant School District.

Esbaum has a Master of Arts in Education Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Special Education from St. Ambrose University.
